STARD3 is a cellular protein that represents an attractive target for cancer therapy, being overexpressed in breast cancer and implied in the development of colorectal, gastric and prostate cancers.
Recently we have discovered the first compound able to inhibit the activity of this protein. Studies regarding the identification of new hits and the optimization of the identified active ligands are ongoing.
